Getting There
So this guy's body started coming together today, still needs some adjustments, and the head is a placeholder until I can think of something better. The first image will be used on the image plane and the second one was a ten second gesture sketch I did while I was trying to figure out what his proportions/body type would be. I also drew an organic squid-like arm instead of the blade, but I like the idea of organic mixed with inorganic better.

Sweet! He's looking pretty good.
ReplyDeleteHe reminds me a bit of a Gorilla with longer legs, like he'd be leaning forward on his one fist or dragging it behind him while he heaves the blade around. That's what jumps into my head anyways :p
Try playing around with exaggerating his silhouette. Sometimes if you go completely ridiculous you'll be surprised what you find a long the way that you end up keeping.
